Trademark Registration
Your brand is one of your most valuable business assets. Without federal trademark protection, anyone can use a confusingly similar name, logo, or slogan — and you'll have limited legal recourse to stop them.
I help small business owners and entrepreneurs register their trademarks with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. From the initial search through the final certificate, I handle every step so you're not navigating a complex federal process alone.
What's included:
Comprehensive trademark search to identify conflicts before you file. Preparation and filing of your federal trademark application. Response to all USPTO office actions and communications throughout the process. Guidance at every stage so you always know where your application stands.
Flat Fee: $1,500 + USPTO Filing Fees
No billing surprises. You know the cost upfront, and I work through the entire process for that fee — including any back-and-forth with the USPTO until a final determination is made.
What you should know before filing:
The trademark process typically takes 8–12 months from filing to registration. A thorough search before filing is critical — submitting without one is one of the most common and costly mistakes applicants make. Early registration also establishes your priority date, which matters if a dispute ever arises.

Minority and Women Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Legal, Coaching, and Consulting.
M/WBE certification is one of the most underutilized advantages in business. The businesses that treat it as a strategic asset — not just a credential — are the ones winning government contracts, landing corporate supplier deals, and building enterprises with real staying power. Most never get there because they don't have the right legal and strategic support behind them.
That's the gap I close.
I work with minority and women-owned businesses from the first certification application through the full lifecycle of growth — helping you get certified, stay certified, and actually capitalize on what that certification makes possible.
Certification & Compliance I guide you through the state, city, and federal M/WBE certification process — preparing a complete, competitive application and managing the complexity so nothing gets missed. Once you're certified, I help you stay that way. Recertification deadlines and documentation requirements have derailed businesses that did everything else right. We make sure that's not you.
Government & Private Contracting Certification without contracts is just paperwork. I help you identify relevant government bid opportunities, understand procurement requirements, and position your business to compete — and win. On the private side, I help you access corporate supplier diversity programs and build the relationships that turn certification into revenue.
Business Development & Legal Infrastructure Winning contracts is one thing. Performing on them, scaling your operations, and protecting what you're building is another. I work with you on the business development strategy, legal structure, and operational foundation your company needs to show up credibly, deliver consistently, and grow with confidence.
Whether you're applying for the first time, trying to leverage a certification you already have, or ready to compete at the next level — this is where we start.
Trademark Trial & Appeal Board (TTAB) Proceedings
Your trademark is only as strong as your ability to defend it.The USPTO doesn’t just hand out registrations — it runs a system where any party can challenge yours, and where you can challenge theirs. TTAB proceedings include oppositions, cancellations, and ex parte appeals, and they follow rules, deadlines, and evidentiary standards that look a lot like federal court litigation without the courtroom. Missing a deadline or misreading the standard of proof doesn’t just hurt your case — it can cost you the registration entirely.I represent clients before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board in inter partes proceedings and ex parte appeals. If your trademark application was refused and you believe the examiner got it wrong, I handle the appeal. If someone filed an opposition against your mark, I defend it. If a registered mark is blocking your brand or creating confusion in your market, I file the cancellation.TTAB work is specialized. Most general practice attorneys don’t do it. Most trademark mills can’t handle it. If you’re in a proceeding — or about to be — you need someone who knows the board.
